This page contains instructions and electronic files for those who wish to email their scholarship application materials. You may also print and mail the materials via the postal service.
Please fill out and complete the forms below. They are all in Microsoft Word “doc” format. Once they are all completed, and you have compiled the other materials listed in the APPLICATION PACKAGE CHECKLIST below, please email the materials to email@example.com.
If you wish to send your application materials via the postal service, please complete and print all forms and copy necessary documentation listed in the APPLICATION PACKAGE CHECKLIST. Then follow the SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR PAPER APPLICATIONS below.
Due Date: the application files must be emailed or postmarked no later than October 1, 2017.
APPLICATION PACKAGE CHECKLIST
Part of succeeding in the professional helicopter industry is carefully reading and following instructions. The scholarship committee will be reviewing numerous applications, so it is in your best interest to provide the information as requested.
The application forms must be filled out COMPLETELY. If you are unable to email the required files and must mail the application, it must be TYPED, and all the questions on the forms must be answered. Incomplete application packages will be rejected, and the application fee will not be refunded.
Note: Do not include a resume or anything else not specifically requested in the application. We receive many applications that have extraneous information that cannot be used in the evaluation process. Materials such as tapes, books, flyers, etc. are not sent to evaluators due to time limitations and cost to reproduce and mail.
Payment can be made online on our website using Paypal or credit card.
Make sure to enter your Whirly-Girl number so we can attribute the payment to you.
IF YOU ARE PAYING BY CREDIT CARD, YOU MAY INCLUDE YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION IN THE APPLICATION by signing and scanning the completed remittance form in the Scholarship Application — Personal Background form. For your security, this page will be deleted from your application once the payment is processed.
If you prefer to send a check or Money Order (in U.S. currency), you must include a scanned image of the check with this document and mail it separately. Checks should be made out to the Whirly-Girl Scholarship Fund. Mail the check separately to Ann Lockwood at the following address:

Make sure to specify the payment is for a scholarship application, and enter your Whirly-Girl number on your check so we can attribute the payment to you.
Please note: if you are selected for a scholarship, you will be asked to provide a professional picture.
IF YOU MUST SEND US PAPER APPLICATIONS, REMEMBER: NO STAPLES!!
Type your responses and make sure to print the application on 8 ½ x 11 pages, or standard paper for your country. The application must be postmarked no later than October 1, 2017. It is a good idea to use delivery confirmation to track your package on the computer. Use a large clip to hold each application together. Do not use special folders, clear paper sleeves, notebooks, etc. The pages of the paper applications must be separated so they can be processed. Mail the completed application to the address below:
