Join in the fun for the fourth World Helicopter Day with events around the globe.
Sunday, August 19, 2018 will see the helicopter industry celebrate vertical flight by inviting communities to find out more about these amazing machines, and the people that operate and maintain them.
World Helicopter Day is an opportunity for the helicopter community to get together, share their common passion, preserve existing traditions and shared memories, and create new ones.
Anyone can hold an event. If there is not one near you, then why not consider hosting one?
You can learn more at the worldhelicopterday.com website.
Organizers can download a range of promotional materials from the website, including press releases for local media, tweetables, fliers, and online banners. The hashtag #worldhelicopterday will be used to tie in activities across different social media platforms. So if you can’t get to an event, you can still be part of the day by sharing your own helicopter photos and stories. Local Whirly-Girls are most welcome to promote the organization’s goals and values.
So check out the worldhelicopterday.com website for event listings. Most events are free to attend; individual event arrangements may differ.
Remember: the date is August 19, the third Sunday in August each year.
