Board Members Kim Barwick, WG#1686, and Susanne Hallen, WG#1360, will talk about their experiences entering the world of corporate helicopter flying.

KIM BARWICK, VP of Scholarships
Kim flies a Sikorsky S76D for a Corporate Flight Department based in New York.
Previous to her current position, Kim was an IFR Captain for Associated Aircraft Group, a Sikorsky owned company. She also flew as a NYC tour pilot for Helicopter Flight Services where she was also the Director of Safety. From 2010 to 2014, Kim was the Assistant Chief Pilot and Base Manager for Mauna Loa Helicopters in Hawaii.
A native of Sydney, Australia, Kim has lived in London, Geneva, Zurich and Dubai in her previous career as an English Teacher. She holds a Bachelor of Geosciences with Honors and is certified as FAA ATP, CFI and CFII.
SUSANNE HALLEN, WG #1360, VP of Operations
Susanne Hallen is a Sikorsky S-76D Corporate helicopter pilot with Prudential in Morristown New Jersey.
Susanne started her aviation career as a flight instructor and commercial pilot in Atlanta and then moved on to build her time at Papillon Helicopters flying tours in the Grand Canyon. Upon gaining her ATP, she set her sights on becoming a corporate pilot back in New York. Susanne spent five years at Associated Aircraft Group flying high net worth individuals and fortune 500 executives all over the Northeast.
Susanne Hallen was born and raised in Sweden and came to New York after school where she had a successful career in the hospitality industry. She started as a hostess, held multiple positions in the restaurant before taking on the role as Director of Operations. As Director of Operations, Susanne was responsible for two restaurants. She also worked as Director of Events, Director of Membership at The Core Club, an exclusive private membership club in Manhattan.
After twelve years in the hospitality industry, Susanne finally found her true passion in flying helicopters, but she will always have a deep love for the hospitality industry.
