Every year, helicopter enthusiasts from around the world gather at VERTICON (formerl HAI HELI-EXPO) to connect, learn, and celebrate with the global helicopter community. VERTICON, sponsored by Vertical Aviation International (formerly HAI), is the largest helicopter exposition in the world, and it moves from place to place each year.
The exposition hall typically includes over 600 booths and over 60 helicopters on display. There is also a series of seminars and workshops, many of which are included at no extra cost to attendees.
The Whirly-Girls schedule our Annual Awards Banquet and business meeting to coincide with this event. We also have an educational seminar and general gathering, aka "hovering," where we catch up on news from members over the past year.
In the expo hall, we host a membership/merchandise booth where members of the helicopter community can meet old friends and make new ones, join the organization, renew their memberships, and buy products and raffle tickets. The proceeds from sales from our merchandise booth support our scholarship program.
The Whirly-Girls are affiliate members of VAI, and we are grateful for their support during VERTICON.
