Align with our Core Mission to Advance Women in Helicopter Aviation

The Corporate Alliance Program provides support to the organization's scholarship fund and its members by supporting female pilots in their helicopter aviation journey.

The Whirly-Girls Scholarship Fund, Inc. (dba Whirly-Girls International) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit membership-based organization with a primary mission to support professional female pilots in achieving both their personal and professional goals in helicopter aviation.

We strive to provide programs and opportunities that directly benefit our members. This includes our industry-leading scholarship program, education and mentoring programs, virtual support, online seminars, networking, and overall camaraderie and inclusion between females and members of the helicopter industry.

Today, women only represent 6% of the helicopter pilot community. Our efforts are aimed to increase this number by supporting female pilots as they navigate their helicopter aviation journey.

Media Development

The entire functionality of our organization depends on the seamless operation of our website and communication platforms. It is our direct connection to the thousands of aviators in our membership, spread over 52 countries worldwide. We are consistently updating and improving elements on our website, communication platforms, digital marketing media, and our virtual education and networking capabilities.

Education and Youth Program Development

There are three main areas in education that we want to enhance: Youth Outreach, Student Pilot Support and Continuing Education for Professional Pilots. Our Education Program is in its early stages. We are currently seeking partners in the industry who connect with our vision to inspire, educate, mentor and support aspiring and established helicopter pilots on their path to personal and professional success.

Event Support

The annual events we aim to attend or produce include: HAI HELI-EXPO, featuring our Whirly-Girls Annual Awards Banquet, WAI (Women in Aviation International Conference) and our branded Give it a Whirl Youth Outreach Educational Program. Our presence at these events has proven to positively impact the networking and engagement benefits for our entire Whirly-Girls community, and additionally serve as a funding resource for the operation of our organization through opportunities to sell merchandise and fundraise.

Historical Preservation

The Whirly-Girls organization, established in 1955, has a rich history and our membership is full of female pioneers. The Whirly-Girls archive, housed at Texas Woman's University, allows members, researchers, and the public access to information about our history. We would like to better preserve and document our story commemoratively and share it with others through avenues such as additional museum exhibits and printed and virtual materials.
